How the Procedure Works

If tooth extraction is required at the same visit, the procedure takes approximately one hour. After placement, the implant integrates with the jawbone over 3 to 6 months. During this healing period, patients wear a temporary restoration. Once integration is complete, Dr. Sunar attaches a custom porcelain crown matched to the patient’s natural teeth.
Who Is a Candidate for Dental Implants?
Most adults are candidates for dental implants. Ideal candidates have sufficient jawbone volume to support the implant. Patients with bone loss due to resorption, periodontal disease, or long-term tooth loss can still receive implants after bone grafting procedures to rebuild the area.
